Tasty Meatballs

The combination of garlic and mint make them so tasty they
don't even need a sauce!

  • 1-1/4 lbs ground meat -- beef, pork, lamb, or a mixture

    (I used beef and pork)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1/2 c fresh mint leaves, minced
or 1 Tab dried mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c dry breadcrumbs

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs briefly. Mix in the
milk, garlic, mint, oregano, salt, pepper.
Add the ground meat and mix until thoroughly combined.
Add the breadcrumbs and mix until uniformly incorporated.

Refrigerate the mixture for about an hour to let flavors mingle.

Wet your hands and form meatballs of your favorite size.
Fry the meatballs in a large frying pan over medium-high heat,
or bake in the oven at 400-450° spread out on a baking sheet
or 9x13 cake pan, until browned on the outside and done on the inside.
